  1. backup client for temp admin???another user to view, edit jobs?

    Hello All:

    Backup exec version 8.6.

We have a temp admin for a few weeks.

We'd like him to logging using his account & view current backup exec jobs
    to make sure they run.

However, when the user (which is part of the Built-in groups of windows
2000: account, servers & print operators, etc) logs in locally to server ,
it says that " You have insuficient rights to run backup exec. You must be
either a backup operator or administrator to run backup exec." His account
was then added to the local backup operators group in machine and he was
able to run backup exec 8.6 program, but, he does not get a view of current
scheduled jobs that the administrator account sees.

Is there an alternative to this? Like a remote client that canbe installed
on his desktop so that he can check the backup exec shcedules, etc?

    Thanks in advance!

Look at ExecView. This will run on any windows PC (win9x and up) and will
allow the use to view the status of jobs on up to 50 BackupExec Servers,
and if you desire, respond to alerts

I think is the Exec View program to manage remotely.
