Solution backup mailbox exchange
Please follow the steps ( a,b & c ) mentioned below for configuring the
Exchange mailbox backup:
A ) On Exchange server
===========
1) Create one new Mailbox enabled user ( bkadmin ).
2) Add "bkadmin" to Domain Admin & Local Administrator group.
3) start Microsoft Exchange Administrator. With the Exchange Site icon
highlighted, select File Properties from the menu. Select the Permissions
tab. Click Add. The Add Users and Groups window will appear. Highlight the
Backup Exec Service account "bkadmin". Click Add .Click OK. Set
the "Role" (permission level) to Admin. Click OK.
B ) If Backup Exec and exchange are running on the same machine.

1) Logon using "bkadmin" locally.
2) Configure Outlook profile using Exchange service.
3) Send Mail to some different user.
4) Copy MAPI32.DLL from Program Files\common files\system\mapi\1033\nt
to
Veritas\Backup Exec\ NT
5) Stop all the Backup Exec services.
6) Rename the bewinui.uni file to bewinui.old ( Path= Program
files\Veritas\Backup Exec\NT\DATA )
7) Restart all the backup exec service.
8) Start Backup Exec and try to connect to mailboxes.
C ) If Backup Exec is running on different server.

1) Log on using bkadmin to exchange domain.
2) Configure Outlook profile using Exchange service.
3) Send Mail to some different user.
4) From Exchange server, copy EDBBCLI.DLL file to \winnt\system32 (to the
Backup Exec server)
(it is very essential that EDBBCLI.DLL file to be exactly the same version
on both the Exchange server and the BackupExec server)
5) Copy MAPI32.DLL from Program Files\common files\system\mapi\1033\nt
to
Veritas\Backup Exec\ NT
6) Stop all the Backup Exec services.
7) Rename the bewinui.uni file to bewinui.old ( Path= Program
files\Veritas\Backup Exec\NT\DATA )
8) Restart all the backup exec service.
9) Start Backup Exec and select the mailboxes and provide connect info
as
bkadmin.
10) Confirm that Exchange administrator utility is installed and
connecting to
exchange server.

Please download the file from the above URL and run setup on top of
existing installation.
You also need to upgrade all the Agents/Options installed using BENT v8.5
installation files.
Serial Numbers of BENT v8.0 will work with BENT v8.5
If the issue persists after following the above steps, please revert back
with the following in a single zip file:
1. Bediag.fax file of Backup Exec (and Exchange server if Exchange is
remote to Backup Exec)

Start Sgmon and then try to connect to mailbox.
3. System and Application log (evt format) Backup Exec (and Exchange server
if Exchange is remote to Backup Exec)
4.System info for Backup Exec (and Exchange server if Exchange is remote
to
Backup Exec) [run winmsd and send the file]
