    We're running BENT 8.5 on a win2k server and for some reason every once and
    a while a database backup job will fail and leave no details as to what went
    wrong. When after looking at the log it looks as though everything went perfectly.
    So far it's only happend twice and I haven't tried to restore from the tape
    yet (doing that after this post, in fear of more bad news)

    Here's the Log..maybe somone can see something that I'm missing.

    "Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000 not present - performing standard backup"

    Will cause the FAILED status.


    Figure out why BENT doesn't detect the agent -
