  1. Daily backup job stalls at 99% completed

I am using BENT version 7.01. My daily backups have been running without
problem until 2 weeks ago. The job monitor window shows the job type: completed
but the job status: running and the percent completed 99%. The tapes eject
like the job has completed successfully and based on the size of the jobs
they appear to have run successfully. The status never refreshes to show
that the job has finished and the next job won't start due to this. If you
reboot the machine the next job will begin and run but the same results show
up. After rebooting the job that showed "running" will appear correctly
    has completed successfully.

Any ideas on a fix would be greatly appreciated. No new applications or
changes have been made to the NT box around the time of the error begining.

We are using vs. 8.5 and sometimes have this problem too, but are manually
ejecting the tapes. Try this for some related help:

EXACT same thing with me Bob, except that I user BENT 7.3. This has been
happening to use for the last 2-3 weeks. Haven't changed anything on the
backup, haven't changed hardware, I keep my drives clean and I rotate my
    tapes.

Additionally, I've been getting access violations in bengine.exe about once
a week, too. I kinda think of 'em as related even though I know they aren't
    necessarily.

Since the timing's about the same I wonder if this isn't be caused some some
update we've both got in common? Micorosoft Security patches or some such?

I am using version 8.5 and have the same problem. The tape ejects but job
shows 99% complete. I have to go into Alerts, open the alert for the job
and then click OK for the job to complete. The alert says Operator Attention
is needed. I have not found a way to turn off the alert.

Remove "Eject on End" from the job description and eject the tape manually
