I am tryinng to backup about 17gb on a DDS 3 tape drive. About 90% of the
data is a oracle db. THis should be able to be compressed by a good percantage.
But the job ejects the tape and asks for an overwritable media around 4-6gbs.
The server is a NT40sp6a, HP surestore dds3, and vertibam dds3 tapes.

DDS-3 is 12Gb uncompressed and the compression rate is dependent on hardware
and various other factors. 17Gb on one tape is not bad at all. Have an
extra tape handy when the backup requests it.
