Backup Job says "pending" and won't run - Veritas Backup Exec

This is a discussion on Backup Job says "pending" and won't run - Veritas Backup Exec ; What does it mean when a scheduled backup job says "pending" and won't run as scheduled? I can run a manual test job and it runs fine, but the scheduler won't work....

    What does it mean when a scheduled backup job says "pending" and won't run

    Basically, it's waiting for some kind of user intervention. Check the
    Alert tab or the log file itself.
