  1. BENT 8.5 and Netware 4.11 server

    Hello,
I am having problems backing up a Netware 4.11 server. I have a windows
2000 backup server backing up two windows 2000 domain controllers and one
lone netware server. It took me a while to get the w2k servers backing up
without errors but everything is fine now. The netware stuff i am
completely clueless about though, I been livin in a windows world for too
long. I hope no one minds but I am just going to post the error log.

There are a couple things that just don't make sense. Why is it trying to
initialize a windows NT/2000 agent? Shouldn't that be a netware agent?
Well if anyone could send me in the right direction it would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Bill

  2. Re: BENT 8.5 and Netware 4.11 server

It's not trying to initialise an NT/200 agent as such - I think that's just the
generic message that is returned when BE can't initialise an agent, be it NT,
NetWare, whatever. The same thing happens on our NetWare boxes if the remote
    agent NLM isn't loaded.

As for what's causing the Tape Alert stuff, I have no idea. I'm pretty sure
it's nothing to do with NetWare though seeing as you got your DATA volume
    backed up just fine.
