  1. event viewer - Job "xxx" was aborted at the users request

    Hello,

We get this problem about once every 2 weeks. We have BE 8.5 on a win2000
server backing up that server, another win2000 server and an exchange 5.5
IS. When it runs, the backup completes succesfully. This message happens
about 5 mins into the backup. Noone has aborted the job, it just aborts
    itself.
we have a HP T20 Travan drive with the latest drivers and SCSI card drivers.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this problem?

    Thanks,
    Adrian

    Adrian,

Have same problem except we are running NT 4.0 still.
Haven't really started working on solving it yet.
We use AIT-2 Qualstar tape library. Doesn't look like
    a specific hardware problem.

in the "alerts" tab in backup exec, do you get an error message something
like "hardware not found, or hardware offline" ?
im not at the server, so I cant tell you exactly what it says.

    Cheers,
    Adrian

I am getting the same error messages. Were you ever able
to find a solution to this?
