  1. Using Run Now on a scheduled job

Does anyone know why when you use the Run now action on a scheduled job it
take the next available tape to write the backup to and not the tape listed
in the destination device. For example, we had a failed backup on Monday
(we knew what happened and fixed it) when we tried to run the backup again
(using the run now action) it decided to use the Tuesday tape to write the
    backup. Wierd.

    App: BE v8.5
    Drive: Quantum
    Autoloader: DLT 7000

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Are both tapes in the same media set,and both set to Overwrite? If so, BENT
will use the oldest tape that it can find.

Sounds liek the Monday job wrote at least some data to the tape, and thus set
    the retention period active.
