  1. Job completes, but Backup Exec stops responding afterwards

Since I've upgraded to Build 2575, my jobs complete fine and everything gets
backed up, but the busy lights on our Seagate Scorpion drive remains on and
if I go to task manager, Backup Exec is not responding. Bestop isn't able
to stop the service either and I obviously can't eject the tape. The only
way to regain control is to restart the server. I've been doing this routine
daily. Any idea on what is causing Backup Exec to loose control of the tape
    drive?

No hits on your problem, but you can use the Resource Kit
utlity "KILL" to kill the 7 BENT services and then bestart
to restart them without having to bounce the whole server.

    Angelo,

This may work for you. I read about a similar in a post awhile ago. Go to
job definitions tab. Rt click on the backup job. Select properties and go
to the Advanced tab. If eject media after job completes is checked, the uncheck
    it.

I had the same problem; just reinstall the latest Microsoft MDAC file. You
can get it on the microsoft downloads.
