Very Handy Log File Utility
I found a program called Windows Grep
(http://web.pncl.co.uk/~huw/grep/download.html) which does just about
exactly what I wanted it to. It will search a directory for user specified
files (bex*.txt) through a date filter (less than one day old to check last
night's log files) and searches all files it finds for multiple words (in
this case: denied|unable to
attach|responding|connections|memory|terminated|abort|responding). It then
returns the names of the files in which it finds those keywords _and_ the
line in which the keyword appears. It's very keen.
I also have a simple Access database that I use to track
all log files (Access 2000) if anyone is interested...
