  1. GroupWise backup nightmare!

We are using Veritas backup for NetWare version 9.2 to back up our
groupwise 7.0.2HP1. Since we applied 7.0.2HP1, we could not get into
GroupWise selection list in the backup exec. We tried different versions
of tsafsgw (went back to tsa5up18, etc...). Now if I put tsafsgw file
older than June 2006, what I could see in the backup exec is no
selection list for this level. But if I put tsafsgw file newer than
December 2006, it immediately abend the GroupWise server when I tried to
browse the backup selection in Backup exec. The log file says:

Server GWSERVER halted Monday, July 16, 2007 9:05:36.615 pm

The CPU encountered a problem executing code in LIBC.NLM. The
problem may be in that module or in data passed to that module by a

We also applied the patch for LIBC.nlm and tried smdr file from
tsa5up18. But none of them work! Does anyone have the same problem as I
have or any idea or suggestion?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi there,

You should install 7.02hp2 for groupwise. I'm up to 7.01 and now glad I haven't
tried the newest Also what version of backup exec have you installed of
    9.2 ?

I used the 9.2ESD version, which gave problems. Download 9.2 build 1401.5
and maybe it will be ok.

    Good luck.
    Regards
