I am trying the disk-to-disk backup feature of Backup Exec 9.2. The media
server is connected by fibre to a SAN. I have numerous jobs at the READY
state, but Backup Exec is only running two jobs at a time. What do I need
to do to allow more simultaneous jobs to run?

What are you backing up - remote server(s)? If so, you may need to open
up more ports on your firewall (if you have one) to allow this. See
Page 294 of the admin guide:

    http://support.veritas.com/docs/278928

'Communication between the media server, the Remote Agent for Windows
Servers, or the Remote Agent for NetWare Servers will usually require
two ports on the media server side and up to two ports on the remote
agent side per operation. If you plan on Setting Media Server Options
294 Administrator's Guide supporting multiple backups and restores
occurring simultaneously, you must configure your firewall to allow a
range of ports large enough to support the maximum number of
    simultaneous operations desired.'
