  1. Robot not detecting drive after being replaced

    Hi

I have a HP Storageworks 5000 tape library running with a few Netware 6.5
sp5 servers that have BE 9.2 on them. Recently we replaced one of the drives
inside the library and now when I go to drives, robots I can only see one
of the sdlt 160/320 drives and am unsure of how to get BE to see the replaced
drive. I am running in partition mode.

Have tried rebooting the server and still no luck. Netware can see both drives.

    Regards
    Greg

Is this a SAN/SSO environment? If so, try:

    1. BESTOP
    2. Rename :\bkupexec\scsiview.scv to scsiview.old
    3. BESTART

    If not, try:

    1. BESTOP
    2. Rename :\bkupexec\mm to mm.old
    3. BESTART

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Chris

I am using a SAN environment and tried what you suggested. It shows the drive
there now but when I try and do a backup using this drive the job just sits
    there.

If I exit BE and restart the program when I look under Robot the drive has
    disappeared again.

    Any other suggestions?

Did you rename MM as well? If not, maybe try that as well?
