Information: ARCserve 4.x/6.x/7 written-data being tried to be restored with BackupExec v9.2.1401.3
I can confirm successful restore with BE v9.2.1401.3 on a NW 6.5 SP5 server
with TSA600.NLM and a traditional volume with:
ARCserve v6.1 written data on DLT IIIXT media under NW 4.11 SP6 (DLT IV
media should work as well)
ARCserve v7 written data on Ultrium-1 and Ultrium-2 media under NetWare
5.10 SP8 (Ultrium-3 unknown)
*ARCserve v6.6 written data on Ultrium-1 media under NW 4.11 SP9 should
work as well*
*ARCserve v6.6 written data on DLT IIIXT/IV media under NW 5.10 SP8
should work as well*
I can't confirm a successful catalog, nor a restore with BE v9.2.1401.3 on a
NW 6.5 SP5 server with TSA600.NLM with:
ARCserve v4.02N written data on DDS1 or DDS2 media under NW 3.12
-> the following error occurs:
Block size of 512 bytes is not supported for the operation.
An attempt was made to use an invalid block size. (24614)
Chris advised me about the following document under
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/282357.htm
So, unfortunately I have to use a NW 3.12 server with ARCserve v4.02N or
v6.6 for restore of ARCserve 4.02N written DDS-media :(
Best of luck and best regards,
