BackupExec v9.2.1401.3 (Automatic cancellation of jobs)
Hello again,
i am lost in finding an option to automatically cancel jobs in BackupExec
for NetWare, when a tape is missing. Instead of an automatic cancellation of
the job, an alert is issued that has to be responded to reschedule the job
for the next day.
This means: If I forget to insert a tape on one day and forget to respond
the alert, the job is not rescheduled automatically and all new tapes are
not processed, cause the alert is unresponded!
We have around 11 NetWare servers running BackupExec v9.2 for NetWare soon
and I really would appreciate a similar option like in BackupExec for
Windows that can automatically cancel jobs after a specified amount of time.
Am I dumb or do I just have overlooked anything in options or policies that
can solve my problem! I must emphasize that I mostly use the NLM screen on
the server itself, though I remember I searched for this option in the
Windows BackupExec Administrator (the one for NetWare of course) as well,
but couldn't find anything useful so far.
Any help is much appreciated.
With best regards,
Hammelbeine

Hi Chris,
this should help I suppose. I thought these options were for different
tasks. I give it a try soon.
Many thanks again for the prompt reply.
