Open file option
Newtare 6.5 sp4 Groupwise 6.5.4 Open file option causes a problem with the
nss pool, causing it to unload when trying to backup open files. If you unload
the OFA.NLM and check to never backup open files this problem doesn't happen.
Does anyone have a fix or workaround that will aloow this to function.

Re: Open file option
Can you be more specific about exactly what happens during open file
backups? Please include any errors that are seen on the server console,
logger screen etc.
Are you on the latest build of BE and OFO? Check
sys:\bkupexec\version.doc for version/build info.
Latest build of BE: http://support.veritas.com/docs/278600
Update for OFO: http://support.veritas.com/docs/278900

Re: Open file option
Where do you see these errors/messages? The logger screen? It's normal
behaviour for OFO to see the following on the logger screen:
'The share point "SYS_SV" has been deactivated due to deactivate of
volume SYS_SV. Pool SYS_SP set to the DEACTIVE state.'
OFO creates a temporary snapshot pool/volume and then deactivates and
deletes it when the backup is complete. So, these messages are normal
and nothing to worry about.
However, if you are getting other messages that you believe are errors,
can you copy and paste them from the logger screen and post them here.
You can grab the contents of the logger screen into a text file using
this TID:
