    I installed the new version 9.1 - sent to me by CD.

    But the serial number is not accepted - neither by the install-kit nor by
    the administrator console.

    Where can I test, whether my serial number is valid

    I got it by upgrad from 8.0 to 9.0

    Nowhere I'm afraid - well, not without ringing either Veritas Tech
    Support, Veritas Sales or your reseller.

    Are you using the same upgrade serial number you got when upgrading from
    8.0 to 9.0? If so, then that's likely to be the problem - v9.1 is a "pay
    for" upgrade (unless you have a maintenance contract) so you need a
    brand new licence key for this version.
