ndmpc.log file - Veritas Backup Exec

Can anyone tell me if its possible decrease the log file in /sys/bkupexec/log,
my file has grown to over 2G now, also what is the purpose of this file.

NDMPC.LOG is a debug log. Are you running BE with the -ZL switch
(debug mode)? Turn off debug (press [ctrl]+[z] on the admin console
screen on the server) and make sure you don't have -ZL in BESTART.NCF.
Then you can delete the bloated log files. There will be others that
are fairly large, such as BESRVDBG.LOG (I think that's the right
spelling). Anyway, they are safe to delete as long as debug mode is
turned off.
