  1. BE 90 build 4202 not reading tapes backed up with build 4175

I have just upgraded several servers with BE 9.0 build 4175 to the new 4202
    build.
But Now I can't catalog tapes that was backup up with BE 90 build 4175.

I can't find any documents that explains this problem.
The error messages I get is Translation Error on media when trying to
    catalog the tape.
And yes, I have tried changing FastFileAcces to 0 and use NWASPI instead of
    BECDM
    Same errors..

A server with BE90 build 4175 can read the tapes without any problems, so
all the tapes should be OK.

All servers use Tandberg SLR60 or SLR75 tape drives, and all tapes are SLR60
    tapes
All servers has Novell SBS 6.0 sp3 with BE 90 build 4175 or 4202

The server used to test-read all the tapes is a NW 5.1 sp6 server, BE90
    build 4202, Tandberg SLR75

Here is what I have found out so far:

    If I use copy:
    TANDBQUIC.NLM,
    TANDBLDR.NLM,
    BECDM.CDM,
from the server with build 4175 to the server with the new build, I can
Catalog the tape in the new build (As long as i do not use
    "on-media-catalog")

So I'll guess the problem is most likely in the tapedriver or in the
BECDM.CDM file in the 4175 build...
And again.. I can't find any information describing any differences here
    from Veritas...

So my advise is: If you are planning to upgrade any Backup Exec. Make a copi
of the sys:\bkupexec files or at least keep the installation media used to
install the previous build if you need access to older tapes.
