  1. Multiple Abends During Verify Operation NW6 / BEXEC 9

I just installed Backupexec 9 Latest Build on a Dell P/E 2550 Server. We also
have a DELL PV 120T Autoloader drive. I am able to backup to the drive, however
the server has multiple appends (critical) when the veify operation reaches
50%. I have enabled multiple lun support and correctly terminated the autoloader
drive. Does anyone have any solution or ideas about this issue? Thanks in
    advance.

  2. Re: Multiple Abends During Verify Operation NW6 / BEXEC 9

Just a followup to this. The abend is being caused by the FSASRVNW.NLM which
is the Remote Service Agent for Dell Perc/3 Command Line Interface. Hope
this will help in the search to why this problem is being caused. Looking
    foward to all replys.

    Additional Information:
There may be some bad memory either on an adapter card or on the motherboard.
If the problem continues, try replacing the main system memory or adapter
cards to prevent future parity errors.

Sorry I also wanted to ensure you run a full system diagnostics and make sure you have
all the same speed and type of RAM. Also ensure you have the latest patches and drivers
and your IRQ's are set to non-share level and fixed PCI IRQ's {not enabled for plug and
    play }

  6. Re: Multiple Abends During Verify Operation NW6 / BEXEC 9

FWIW, We're getting NMI errors using TapeWare, not BE on a Dell PE 2450 with
the add-in PERC2/DC board and NW6sp1. We've replaced just about everything
on this server and it still happens. All IRQ sharing is turned off and all
non used devices have been disabled-USB, COM ports, etc.

What seems to have done the trick is a "device search = yes" line in the
Tapeware.ini file. I changed it to "=no" and the server now stays up for
more than 14 days...each day brings new record uptimes. Since we back this
problematic server up over the network, no SCSI anything is needed save for
    the RAID drivers.

Is there an equivalent setting in BE? Can you back this server up over the
    network using a remote agent?
