  1. Job scheduler & multiple media

When my nightly incremental back up runs out of room on a CD-R disk, it
ejects the CD-R disk and then appears to hang.

Inserting a fresh CD-R disk does not cause it to start up. Killing the
processes (bestart.exe and bewin32.exe) using the Task Manager cause the
next invocation of Backup Exec Desktop Edition (BEDE) 4.2 to take nearly
one (1) hour to come up. (BEDE seems to be accessing the hard disks this
long startup, but when it finally does come up, it informs me that a
catalog error has been detected and would I like to repair it. When I
answer "yes", it repairs the catalog, apparently correctly.I can then
    use BEDE normally.)

How can I get unattended (i.e. scheduled) backups to span media?

    Thanks.

Good question. It's a Yamaha CRW4260, and it is a supported drive.
