    of NFS bandwidth used by a program?

    nfsstat will give you bandwidth for the whole host. There are several
    tools that will trace useage by a single process. You could filter
    truss/tusc output for read/write/seek/open/close calls and figure
    out which file handles point over NFS. Good development software
    will have system-specific performance tuning utilities.
