First Advantage CREDCO (www.FADV.com; www.CREDCO.com) has an immediate
opening for a Senior Unix/SAN Administrator to join our Information
Technology team in Poway, CA. The individual selected for this position
will work with a team of 5-6 System Administrators in the daily support
of approx 100 S6K/Pseries servers and/or LPARs, and SAN/NAS
administration. Works with vendors from a customer / vendor
relationship on support problems and firmware upgrades

Requirements Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or
equivalent experience)
· 3+ years experience administering AIX (4.3, 5.X) for large to
medium scale UNIX systems
· Mid to Senior level understanding of SAN technologies including
(but not limited to) SAN switches, xp1024 or Hitachi 9900 Series
Storage Arrays, and NAS devices
· Ability to set up switch zones, ISLs, Trunking, and perform switch
firmware upgrades as needed
· Able to work with Technical Managers / Business Owners to gather
requirements and provide storage recommendations/solutions to meet the
business need
· Ability to create and assign LUNs/LDEVs to AIX, Linux, and Windows
server
· Good understanding of LVM from a Unix and Windows perspective.
· Understanding of BCopy setup and configuration utilizing Hitachi
Raid Manager
· Ability to setup and configure HP SecurePath / AutoPath for HBA
failover
· Understanding of MPIO setup and configuration in a AIX and Windows
environment
· A good understanding of CIFS / NFS
· Good Oral and Written skills
· Proven ability to analyze business problems and opportunities,
identify and assess solutions and deliver results
· Strong ability to react and assess quickly
· Good shell scripting skills
