Hello Sir/Madam.

We are attempting to setup IPMP at our Solaris 10 server. *The primary
address is 171.25.221.129 and the payload addresses are XX.XX.XXX.124
& XXX.XX.XXX,.125. *Below is the "ifconfig -a" output. *We need to
"force" all netwrok traffic to go thru the primary address only and
not any of the two payload addresses. *Could we add the following live
IPMP commands with no reboot to accomplish that ?

# ifconfig fjgi4 group payload deprecated -nofailover
# ifconfig fjgi0 group payload deprecated -nofailover

Also, could we create the following three /etc/hostname* files at the
server to make the 2 commands above permament during the next
reboot ?

# cat hostname.fjgi4
171.25.221.125/23 *broadcast + group cure deprecated -failover
# cat hostname.fjgi0:1
171.25.221.129/23 broadcast + failover
# cat hostname.fjgi0
171.25.221.124/23 *broadcast + group cure deprecated -failover

fjgi0: flags=1000843 mtu 1500
index 2 inet 171.25.221.124 netmask fffffe00 broadcast
171..25.221.255

fjgi0:1: flags=1000843 mtu 1500
index 2 inet 171.25.221.129 netmask fffffe00 broadcast 171.25.221.255

fjgi4: flags=1000843 mtu 1500
index 3 inet 171.25.221.125 netmask fffffe00 broadcast 171.25.221.255

Thanks,

Bill
