Any good material/faq/handyresource for "stepipng in as admin" for
Linux/Unix/solaris current versions <i.e. just not too old version>
with MySql and Webserver Administration.

That would depend on your current skillset.

Anything from "UNIX for Dummies" to the FreeBSD Handbook could be
appropriate, depending on where you're at now.
