Thread: Interface name for dialup

  1. Interface name for dialup

    Ubuntu 8.04.1, X11.

I'm trying to use wmifs to monitor the state of a dialup connection
(green light = online, red light = offline).

It used to work with "wmifs -l -i ttyS0". Now we setup a new machine
    and it doesn't work there.

Is there a common interface name for a dialup connection or any way
to find out the active interface?

    Thanks in advance,
    Niklaus
