  1. Curiosity... segfault error message

This has only happened once. Uptime is ~5 days. Hardy Server.

    [409158.723003] console-kit-dae[4644]: segfault at 00000000 eip b7edb307
    esp bfba6e14 error 4
    [490886.244793] eth0: link down
    [490965.802266] eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x45E1

As you can see, the link recovered, all is fine. Just wondering... why?
It's nothing major, just wondering. :-)

Google didn't help me but I doubt I asked it the right questions.

****. Just reading your post gave me the exact same error.

    Only kidding. ;-)

You've got an issue with consolekit.

You may wish to check launchpad for consolekit and specifically bugs
relating to it (none are directly reported against it) to see if
    anyone is experiencing similar.

I did a quick google and saw a lot of results relating to virtualbox.
Are you running a VM in virtualbox?

Yup. I realised that when yuo metioned "Hardy Server".

Virtualbox, I believe, can be run from a console. I saw an article
some while back in LXF on how to do this.

Although *why* (familiarity being the obvious reason) is beyond me.
