hardy ipw3954 issue?
This is a test laptop, i performed in place upgrade.
After the upgrade, wireless option no longer shown in network options,
i only have wlan0_rename. I had to disable dhcp and assign static ip,
and load using modprobe iwl3954 manually. I also had to run iwconfig
manually, only then could I use my wireless card.
The ipe3954 driver is not listed in restricted driver manager.
Any one knows a better "automated" solution? is ipw3954 still supported?

I would speculate it's a problem that is of the nature of the beta
release. Place the module name iwl3954 in /etc/modules and put up with the
other issues until the problem is resolved in a future beta or release
candidate.
