It ceased to be -our- problem when we implemented smoking bans.

    Deal with it.

Which goes to show that the majority isn't always right.

I deal with it, all right, by ignoring it and smoking wherever my little
    heart desires.

  3. Re: Ubuntu Updates Annoyance

I smoked cigarettes from the time I was in junior highschool until about
15 years ago when I easily quit without being motivated by the good
reasons for quitting. I didn't know I was going to quit until I already
    had.

During those years, the effect of the smokers was everywhere, and
everything accommodated them, including airplanes and terminals. You
could smoke in hospitals and hospital rooms unless there was oxygen
flowing. The nonsmokers didn't have much influence on things and didn't
seem very bothered during those years -- but the balance of whose needs
or wishes were being accommodated were way way way over on the smokers'
    side. Unfairly so.

The worm has turned and around here smokers are a minority with hardly
any rights to smoke anywhere. You can't even smoke in your own home if
your home's air is able to get into someone else's home.

Cigarette smoking is very bad for health and its various effects such as
smoke fumes, ash, ember damage, toxins, odors, and butts are experienced
by the other people in the same environment whether it effects their
    health meaningfully or not.

I too find perfume stench more repulsive than the stale smell of smoke
    clinging to a person.

That doesn't surprise me as you also spam, troll and lie when you feel like
    it.
Ignore it by me and I will at least try and have you arrested.
You will be amazed to what lengths restaurants and places like will go to
when you get up to leave without paying if they allow someone to smoke.

They can't arrest you if they haven't provided the service they want to
    charge for and you leave.
Simple really but not simple enough for the likes of you, you must be really

You didn't have much of a habit. I quit 15 years or so from a 5 pack a
day habit. It was the single hardest thing I have ever done, bar none.

I remember being in the smoking section of a restaurant and some
militant DS coming over to complain. He didn't smoke, was in the smoking
section and wanted me to accommodate him by not smoking. What a laugh
that was. BTW, I still dream about smoking and still like the smell of a
    cigarette.

They also promised a smoke free environment as part of the contract.. they
are in breach.. if anyone has committed a crime it is them.
Come to think of it with the new laws they have committed a crime by
allowing the smoker to light up in the first place.
Several thousands of pounds fine if someone complains.
I think the loss of a few quid on a meal would be the easiest option
although physically throwing the smoker out would be better.

    You really are dumb.
