| I made a few tests with rsync and compared to ftp it is very slow ( it take 8 times longer to copy a big file) FTP: 226 File send OK. 642252800 bytes received in 00:54 (11.19 MB/s) rsync -r --progress samba@galileo2::samba /data01 Password: 642252800 100% 1.45MB/s 0:07:01 My rsyncd.conf is gid = users read only = true use chroot = true transfer logging = true log format = %h %o %f %l %b log file = /var/log/rsyncd.log hosts allow = 10.53.7.8 [samba] read only = false path = /data01 comment = samba Dateien auth users = samba secrets file = /etc/rsyncd.secrets The net is 100MBit, the machines are two processor XEON P4 with Hyperthreading, so it should not be the hardware. Can I set anything to make it faster ? Thanks Andreas Moroder |
