  1. Compiz-fusion 0.7.4 and simple-ccsm

    Hi all,

I've just upgraded my version of compiz-fusion to 0.7.4 via the openSuSE
    10.3 repositories.

Whilst everything works fine, I notice that gnome-xgl-settings is
missing. This was useful for switching between 3D and normal modes, so
that I could play games using openGL.

It appears that the above utility has been replaced by simple-ccsm.
However when I try to launch simple-ccsm I get the following error:

    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/bin/simple-ccsm", line 965, in
    mainWin = MainWin(context, page)
File "/usr/bin/simple-ccsm", line 858, in __init__
    self.EnableEffectsButton.connect ("toggled",
    EnableDesktopEffectsChanged, self)
NameError: global name 'EnableDesktopEffectsChanged' is not defined

Can anyone help with this one as it really has me stumped?

    TIA :-)

Confirm identical crash on dual core AMD x86_64.

Second screw up by SuSE in a week (after broken qtcurve-gtk2). Hope they
    fix this as quickly

So do I :-) I've now reported this on the compiz-fusion forums, too, in
case anyone's come up with a fix.

Using a quad Athlon here so maybe it's just an issue with 64-bit versions?

    Cheers,
