2 installations hang on admin passwd - Suse

This is a discussion on 2 installations hang on admin passwd - Suse ; As above, running 2 openSuse 10.3 boxes and neither allow administrator password access to open the "Personal Settings" modules. Admin works for Yast, etc., but not in this window on each machine. Am I forgetting something? All help is appreciated....

  1. 2 installations hang on admin passwd

    As above, running 2 openSuse 10.3 boxes and neither allow administrator password access to open the
    "Personal Settings" modules. Admin works for Yast, etc., but not in this window on each machine.

    Am I forgetting something?

    All help is appreciated.

    Great link, thanks.
    Updating to 3.5.9 easily repaired this bug. That was kind of a bad one.

    You are welcome Pete.

    It straightened most of the stuff, but the module to set shares is still
    broken. The top line with menus is out of window and user reach, (and I
    still didn't reported a bug :-( ). I'll check is it reported right now.

    I didn't answered on your previous post as what you said is all that other
    readers of this group with similar problem want to know, and my answer on
    solved problem would not bring anything new. While I'm usually verbose,
    sometimes I recall that brevity is a virtue.
