  1. cups - GNOME: collection of updates - problem

    Hello,
I have a problem, today my 10.3 openSuSe gave me a notice that a number
of updates are available. Most of them were downloaded and updated
without problems, only in subject mentioned patch wasn't downloaded and
installed, it checks and checks but in the end it gives me notice about
new software upgrades and again it is above mentioned software.

Has anyone had such a problem so far?

    with regards

    casperius

Same here... Vahis posted the solution recently:

I would do in konsole as root:
    rpm --rebuilddb

    Then
    zypper ref

    zypper lu

In case this would show updates I would go:

    zypper up

    Vahis

    This worked for me.

I had to use zypper -up -t patch below everthing was applied. There appears
to be a problem with the updater and patches. it also showed a security
update and that installed with no problem.

The 'zypper up' has default '-t patch' so no need to tell explicitly.
It was problem with patch naming that should be resolved by now.

It's embarrassing when you forget to put your zypper up
