I have a 360 gig sata hard drive connected to my pc by an esata cable and
the transfer rate is s**t i get from between 15kbs to 200kbs at one stage i
was getting 30 to 40 mbs. then it dropped to the above.

the transfer rate for the internal hard drive is 40 to 60 mbs

i have up dated hal. but still no joy

i am using opensuse 10.2 32 bit on a 64bit pc amd x2 64 5600+
2 gig of ram asus motherboard

in windows its fine 40 to 50 mbs

any pointers would be a help below is my fstab table if that is any help
