There has been growing interest in using Flash memory for storage
applications. Flash offers significantly higher IOPS performance than
traditional hard disks, although it is also significantly more
expensive in terms of cost per capacity. This talk discusses ways of
combining Flash and hard disks to achieve optimal storage performance
and the implications of using Flash for the storage interconnect.
