SN#20686 Brocade 7500E SAN Extension Switch
SYSTEM NEWS FOR SUN USERS
Vol 128 Issue 5 2008-10-31 Article 20686 from section "Networking"
Hot Code Activation, Redundant Power and Cooling Systems
The Brocade 7500E is positioned as an entry level, point-to-point
remote SAN connectivity solution using FCIP to enable a business
continuance solution. To meet the price requirements of the SME
market, the Brocade 7500E does not include all of the advanced
features and capabilities of the 7500 or FR4-18i platform. It does,
however, have those features that increase disk mirroring performance
known as FastWrite and reduce cost while delivering a robust, highly
resilient solution with SO-TCP, redundant power/fans and Fiber
Channel routing. Other advanced features have been "turned off" but
are still available to customers via a software license upgrade.
