Vol 124 Issue 2 2008-06-09 Article 20101 from section "OpenSolaris"

Answers Questions About the Open Source OS Other Reviewers Didn't

In something of a polemic, Solaris administrator Robert Escue

ArsTechnica and His aim, he writes, was to produce a
piece that examines more than simply whether OpenSolaris is a worthy
rival to Ubuntu or Fedora as a desktop OS. Escue examines the use by
OpenSolaris of ZFS, reported network problems, the use of bash and
differences between OpenSolaris and Solaris Express.
