Vol 123 Issue 2 2008-05-12 Article 19874 from section "OpenSolaris"

Tool to Move Large Amounts of Data With NFS and/or CIFS

Data Migration Manager (DMM) is a tool which facilitates the movement
of file systems from one platform to another over the NFS and/or CIFS
protocols. It is designed to be used when moving large amounts of
data. Recently, Mark Cruciani introduced this OpenSolaris project in
an informal "Birds of a Feather" session at Usenix FAST, in San Jose,
Calif., held earlier this year, and his presentation is available as
a video or iPod replay.
