Consider the Role of Fault Management Architecture
Bob Hueston's blog discusses Fault Management Coordination Between
Solaris and SCF. He explains that the Solaris OS sees one set of
errors and the service processor (SP) sees another (though both views
can be caused by the same hardware fault). Because of this, it is
necessary to coordinate the Solaris and SP views if diagnosis and
recovery are to be achieved.
