I have an UltraSparc 5 machine at home with following configuration:

OS Release: Solaris 8 10/01 s28s_u6wos_08a SPARC
Kernel Configured: 64-bit
Platform: SUNW,Ultra-5_10

uname -a ==>: SunOS maya 5.8 Generic_108528-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10

When not in use, this machine is suspended by executing the command
"/usr/openwin/bin/sys-suspend -xn &"

Recently, there was a power failure. When power was restored, the machine
rebooted properly, but the sys-suspend command no longer works. Executing
it generates an error dialog box with the message "Suspend is not
supported", even when CONSOLE-OWNER is executing the command. The problem
has persisted even after a couple complete reboots.

Relevant power management configuration files are as listed under:
/etc/default/power
==============================================
PMCHANGEPERM=console-owner
CPRCHANGEPERM=console-owner
==============================================

/etc/power.conf:
==============================================
statefile //.CPR
# Auto-Shutdown Idle(min) Start/Finish(hh:mm) Behavior
autoshutdown 30 19:30 8:00 shutdown
device-dependency-property removable-media /dev/fb
autopm disable
==============================================

I would appreciate any ideas in troubleshooting and resolving this
problem. Thanks a lot.
