Free and Open-Source Software Developers' European Meeting (FOSDEM) is
scheduled for February 21-22, 2004, in Brussels, Belgium. This two-day,
free event offers the latest on free and open-source software

Six tracks are slated for FOSDEM's third annual meeting, including:

- Accessibility: Discussions on GOK (Gnome Onscreen Keyboard), KDE
Accessibility Project and BRASS

- Java[TM] technology: Discussions on GCJ and NetBeans[TM] IDE

- Linux Kernel: Discussions on Linux kernel development

- Scripting Languages: Discussions on SmartEiffel and RUBY

- Security: Discussions on Exim, SpamAssassin, Cryptonit and OpenBSD

- X & Co.: Discussions on DirectFB, X and Fresco

Included in the line-up of speakers are Ian Formanek, chief technology
officer for the NetBeans project in the Developer Platforms group at
Sun, Florent Benoit, a developer of JOnAS (Java[TM] Open Application
Server), Tim O'Reilly, founder and president of O'Reilly & Associates,
among others.

A networking buffet is planned on the evening of the 21st for the
