Download Sun Java[TM] Studio Standard 5 update 1 (formerly Sun[TM] ONE
Studio 5, Standard Edition) to experience its comprehensive and
optimized development environment for enterprise class application and
Web Services development. Available as an unsupported technology preview
on the Java Desktop System, this download requires Java[TM] SDK,
Standard Edition 1.4.1_02 be installed.

As an IDE for the Java[TM] platform, this release contains a
Model-View-Controller based application framework and associated tools.
This enhancement strengthens developer productivity and its performance
in supporting the Java[TM] 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE[TM]
platform), Java[TM] 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE[TM] platform)
and Web Service development.

The Sun Java Studio Standard 5 update 1 is pre-configured with the Sun
Java[TM] System Application Server 7.

Based on the NetBeans[TM] platform, this product allows for expedient
creation of JavaServer Pages[TM] (JSP[TM]) and Servlet based dynamic Web
applications. Its productive development environment includes smart
Source Editor, extensive Wizards and Templates and Advanced Debugger.

Existing Sun ONE Studio 4 update 1, Community Edition users wanting
advanced Enterprise tier capabilities should download this free
evaluation copy, otherwise developers only requiring J2SE platform and
Web application development capabilities will benefit by downloading the
NetBeans open source IDE.
