Monitors and Manages Web Services Across an Enterprise

Computer Associates (CA) has created a Unicenter Web Services
Distributed Management (WSDM) software-compliant observer for the Sun
Java[TM] Enterprise System, delivering enterprise management of Web
Services hosted on the Sun Java Enterprise System product line.

Unicenter WSDM monitors and manages Web Services across an enterprise.
Companies can track the performance of Web Services applications and
respond to service interruptions. Integrating the Unicenter WSDM with
the Sun Java Enterprise System gives customers choices and flexibility.
Unicenter WSDM runs on the Solaris[TM] Operating System (Solaris OS),
Windows 2000/XP and Linux.

"Sun has made major strides in simplifying customers' IT environments
with the Sun Java Enterprise System. Working with CA to integrate
Unicenter WSDM with Sun Java Enterprise System product line, customers
are able to natively monitor and manage Web Services, helping them
better manage and control all stages of the software development
lifecycle," said Stuart Wells, vice president, Market Development, Sun.
"This alliance bridges an important gap in managed Web Services as both
companies participate on OASIS Web Services standards committees."

The Sun Java Enterprise System seamlessly integrates enterprise network
components needed for Web Services: Network identity, portal,
communication and collaboration, security, and Web, application and
availability services.
