Can I ask if anyone of you here encounter the similar problem/scneario
before?
We have set a project for the Oracle Install. And, we assign this
project to the user"oracle" in /etc/user_attr. The V890 we have has
16GB physical RAM, and we assign 12GB for the shm-max.

Oracle starts up fine. It runs, but, our DBA and me (the sysadmin)
worries about the memory usage of it. Whenever we run TOP, the
available memory is very low. We wonder where those memory goes?! And,
can anyone suggest where else i can look at to prove that the OS/
System is ok? Any help - much appreicated

The current kernel is: 125100-07 - 118833-24 is behind.
Have you ever patched this machine?
I think you told Oracle its OK to grab 12 GB of RAM. Other than that
the system appears to be doing very little at the moment.
