I have the Seagate docs, but what is better 3 heads, 2 platters or 2 heads 1 platter.?
The price here does not always reflect this.

Stay away from Seagate. Quality has dopped dramatically in the
last few months. Currently good are Samsung and Hitachi. WD is
acceptable, but has its traditional interface incompatibilities.
