  1. Dynamic Disk Import

    Hi,
My Windows 2003 Server with SP2 has an external SAN attached Dynamic Disk
which has failed. It has 2x RAID 5 sets and 1 Mirror. All the Drives are all
marked as Foreign in the Disk Manager and when I try to import them it fails
saying look in the event log and I get the following error:

Does anyone know what this means?

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: LDM
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 1500
    Date: 1/06/2007
    Time: 11:04:18 pm
    User: N/A
    Computer: FILESERVER
    Description:
Disk group FileserverDg0: Cannot auto-import group:
The disk is marked as in use by another computer

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

  2. Re: Dynamic Disk Import

You probably have a mismatch in th LDM-database-header which is stored on
    your disks.
Microsoft Support should be able to help you fix that for you.

    Edwin.
