| mounting the second disk onto a Solaris machine. If I want to look at the "standard" disk I have no problem: I turn off the firewall, and create an /etc/exports file that contains: /Users/mylogin -maproot=mylogin IP_solaris_machine and then do a mount -F nfs IP_mac_machine /local/mountpoint and it works fine. BUT, if I try the same thing with my second disk, by creating an /etc/exports file with /Volumes/2nddiskname -maproot=mylogin IP_solaris_machine and then attempt to remote mount it, I always get the error message that there is "No such file or directory". I've made sure that the permissions match. Any ideas? thanks. |
