  1. SSH Remote Log in Troubles

    Hi guys,
I am sort of new to this and I am trying to set up ssh so that I am
able to use rsa public/private keys to log in to my server for purpose
of backups. Here is what I am running:

    OS Server - Solaris 9
    OS Client - Ubuntu 2.6
This is what I have done, I generated the rsa pairs on the client and
then appended the public key on the server in the file known_hosts. I
got the below debug info. So I tried appending the public key from the
server to the client known_hosts file (the exact opposite). Still
doesn't work. I am sure that it is a config somewhere but I can't
figure out why its giving me "debug1: Bad RSA1 key file /users/bionet/
jlucas/.ssh/id_rsa." I am hoping that someone will look at this and
know exactly what to do. I have done this before and it was so easy.
But now I have spent several hours messing with things and re-doing
    the steps over and over.

    Any help is much appreciated!

And this is the debug output.

    http://www.snailbook.com/faq/publick...auth.auto.html

In particular, the file you want is authorized_keys, not known_hosts.
