  1. pscp and filesize limit when downloading?

    Hello NG!

Does anbody know, if pscp/pftp has filesize limits?
We want to back up some large files, and pscp stops
downloading every time exactly at the same filesize at
    434177 kB,
even when the file is much larger.
When downloading you can see that the filesize is calculated wrong (kB
    and
    %)
    MSVS10002.vmdk | 22284 kB | 5571.0 kB/s | ETA:
    00:01:13 | 5%
    MSVS10002.vmdk | 262028 kB | 5347.5 kB/s | ETA:
    00:00:32 | 60%
    ...
    MSVS10002.vmdk | 434176 kB | 5427.2 kB/s | ETA:
    00:00:00 | 100%
    ?
    .....
    and stops working after that.
The original filesize is 26 214 400 512 and existing on a linux
    server..

    # ls -l
    total 4829380
    -rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 26214400512 Jun 7 09:51
    MSVS10002.vmdk
    -rwxr-xr-- 1 root root 1107 Jun 7 09:50 MSVS10002.vmx
    -rw------- 1 root root 8664 Jun 7 09:50 nvram
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3542 Jun 7 09:50 vmware-0.log
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3542 Jun 7 09:50 vmware-1.log
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3542 Jun 7 09:50 vmware-2.log
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 48648 Jun 7 09:50 vmware.log

Same thing happens when forcing pftp.

    pscp -V says:
    pscp: Release 0.58

    Any hints/ideas?

    Ralf

Yes, PSFTP/PSCP do have trouble above 2GB currently.
